The EDB revised the application fee and investment options in recent rounds, with a factsheet updated in 2025. Confirm the current criteria with the EDB before you act.

What changed

The EDB refreshed the Global Investor Programme in recent rounds. As of the 2025 factsheet the application fee was set at 20,000 Singapore dollars with no refund, and the programme runs on three investment options with thresholds of 10 million, 25 million and 50 million Singapore dollars.

Figures and conditions here have moved over time, so they should always be checked against the live EDB factsheet because the agency updates it periodically.

Current rules

Option A asks for at least 10 million Singapore dollars in a new or existing Singapore business. Option B asks for 25 million Singapore dollars placed in a fund that the EDB selects. Option C is for a single family office, with at least 50 million Singapore dollars deployed and assets under management of at least 200 million Singapore dollars.

Applicants typically need at least three years of entrepreneurial or business track record as a key decision maker, plus a credible plan to create and sustain local employment.

What to watch

Thresholds and conditions here have risen over time. Watch for further revisions to the fund option, the employment conditions and the family office assets under management rule. The EDB publishes the binding factsheet, so verify the live numbers before committing.

Common questions
