About

Paid by you, never by a government.

Passports for Kings is an independent informational resource on citizenship, residency and relocation by investment. We exist for one reason, to give principals and families an honest map of a market that rewards confusion.

The Independence Story

Why we refuse to be paid by a firm.

Most of what you read about golden visas is written by someone who is paid when you buy. The advice bends towards the sale. We chose the opposite model. We are paid by the people we help, never by a government and never by an advisory firm, because the moment a firm pays us, our candour is for sale.

That single decision shapes everything. We can tell you when a programme has closed, when a route is contested, or when no lawful path exists for your nationality. We can date every figure and name the official authority behind it. And when you are ready to act, we introduce you to vetted, independent advisors and then step back, available as an unbiased second opinion for as long as you want one.

Information, not advice. Figures are indicative and current as of June 2026. Always confirm the present rules with the official program authority and a licensed professional before you act.

Who we are

Founded by two people who have done the move.

We are not a faceless desk. We run a relocation company, and between us we have relocated more than five times across different countries. The advice on this site is the map we wished we had each time we packed up and started again somewhere new.

Fredrik Filipsson

Cofounder

Fredrik works in relocation for a living and has moved his own life across borders more than once. He has dealt with the residence permits, the tax residency questions, the banking and the schooling in country after country, which is why the guidance here starts from what actually happens rather than from a brochure.

Morten Andersen

Cofounder

Morten runs the relocation side of the work and has relocated across several countries in person. He knows where the friction sits, what a programme really costs once every fee is counted, and how a family settles in once the paperwork is done. He keeps our coverage honest about the parts most pages skip.

How we work

How we research, and how we check.

Our standards in full sit on the editorial standards page. In short, we work from primary government sources, we date what we publish, and we correct mistakes quickly. The site is operated by its two founders, not by an agency or a firm.

We start from the official source

Every programme fact comes from the government authority that runs the route, and we name that authority on the page so you can check it for yourself.

We date everything

Costs and rules move constantly. Each figure carries an as of date and each page carries a visible last reviewed date, so you always know how fresh the information is.

We say when a route is closed

If a programme has closed, paused or never existed for your nationality, we say so plainly instead of selling you a page of invented figures.

We are paid by you, not by firms

We take no fee from any advisory firm, so nothing we publish bends towards a sale. When you want help acting, we introduce you to vetted independent advisors and then stay on as a second opinion for as long as you want one.

Spotted an error or a figure that looks out of date? Tell us through the contact page and read our full approach on the editorial standards page. We review every report we receive.

Principles

Four commitments we will not trade.

01

Independence

We answer to the people we help and to the facts. No government and no firm pays for our opinion, so our opinion stays ours.

02

Discretion

Wealth and mobility are private matters. Every conversation is handled in confidence, and nothing is shared without your leave.

03

Candour

We would rather lose your business than mislead you. If a programme is wrong for you, or closed, or contested, we will say so.

04

Permanence

These are decisions for a generation, not a quarter. We weigh durability, succession and the long view over the quick win.
