Eligibility for British nationals

British citizens face no nationality bar. The programme is open to applicants who can show a strong entrepreneurial and business track record.

The Economic Development Board assesses the profile of the applicant and the company, so eligibility turns on your business record and the strength of the proposal rather than on nationality.

Routes

There are three investment options. Option A is an investment of at least 10 million Singapore dollars in a new or existing Singapore based business.

Option B is an investment of at least 25 million Singapore dollars into a fund selected under the programme. Option C is establishing or growing a Singapore based single family office that holds assets under management of at least 200 million Singapore dollars, with a portion deployed in qualifying investments. Confirm the current option detail with the authority.

Timeline

Processing depends on the completeness of the application and the route chosen. Successful applicants receive Singapore permanent resident status for themselves and qualifying family members.

Conditions apply to retain and renew permanent resident status, so confirm the current rules with the authority.

Costs

The application fee was revised to 20,000 Singapore dollars with effect from 5 May 2025. Each applicant for permanent residence also pays a processing fee to the Immigration and Checkpoints Authority.

The investment sum in each route is the main financial commitment. Confirm all current fees with the Economic Development Board and the Immigration and Checkpoints Authority.
