Grenada aligned with a March 2024 regional agreement among Eastern Caribbean states that set a minimum donation floor, tightened due diligence and introduced mandatory applicant interviews. The real estate minimum rose on 1 July 2024.

What changed

In March 2024 Grenada joined a regional Memorandum of Agreement among Eastern Caribbean citizenship by investment states, alongside Antigua and Barbuda, Dominica, Saint Kitts and Nevis, and Saint Lucia. The agreement set a minimum donation floor of USD 200,000, strengthened information sharing, and tightened due diligence with mandatory interviews.

With effect from 1 July 2024, Grenada brought in amendment regulations that raised the statutory minimum qualifying share in an approved real estate project to USD 270,000. The donation route minimum stands at USD 235,000 for a single applicant.

Current rules

As of 2026 the programme is open and administered by the Investment Migration Agency. The two main routes are a non refundable donation to the National Transformation Fund from USD 235,000, and an approved real estate investment from USD 270,000 held for at least five years.

Applicants apply through an authorised agent, must pass due diligence and may face an interview. Government, due diligence and processing fees apply on top of the qualifying amount. Confirm every figure with the official authority.

What to watch

The Eastern Caribbean states have signalled continued coordination on minimum prices and due diligence, including work toward a shared regulator. Prices and rules can change with little notice, so the current figures may move.

Watch the official authority for amendment regulations and fee changes, and confirm the current donation and real estate minimums before acting.
