Eligibility for Chinese nationals

Grenada accepts applications from Chinese nationals. The main applicant must be at least 18, hold a clean police record, and prove that the investment funds come from a lawful source. Family members such as a spouse, children and dependent parents can be included.

Grenada is one of the few citizenship by investment countries whose passport offers practical travel access for Chinese investors, and it holds an E2 investor treaty with the United States that a new citizen may use to seek a United States business visa.

Routes

There are two routes. A not refundable donation to the National Transformation Fund, or a purchase of government approved real estate that must be held for at least five years.

The donation covers a main applicant and a family of up to four, with an additional amount for each further dependent. Due diligence and government fees apply on top of either route.

Timeline

Including due diligence and final approval, applications commonly take about four to six months. Confirm current timelines with the authority before you rely on them.
