Eligibility for this nationality

Turkish nationals are eligible. The Active Investor Plus visa is open to investors regardless of nationality, so Turkish citizens apply on the same terms as others. Selection rests on making and holding a qualifying investment and passing health and character checks.

Applicants must meet the investment, health and character rules set by Immigration New Zealand. Confirm the live eligibility criteria before you apply.

Routes

There are two investment categories. The Growth category sits at a lower threshold and asks for acceptable investments held for a set period. The Balanced category sits at a higher threshold with a longer holding period. From 1 June 2026 the Growth category allows a portion of the total to go toward eligible philanthropy. Confirm the live category rules and the list of acceptable investments with Immigration New Zealand.

Timeline

Immigration New Zealand reports an average of about 35 working days to reach approval in principle under the current settings, after which you make and evidence your investment. Total time depends on how quickly funds are deployed. Confirm current processing with the official authority.
