Eligibility for this nationality

Lebanese nationals are eligible. As citizens of a country outside the European Union, Lebanese applicants qualify for the investment based permanent residence on the same terms as most other third country investors, and there is no reported nationality bar.

Applicants must hold a clean criminal record, hold valid health insurance and show that the qualifying income comes from sources outside Cyprus. Confirm the live eligibility rules with the Civil Registry and Migration Department.

Routes

The fast track route under Regulation 6(2) is built around a minimum property investment, plus proof of secure annual income from abroad. The property must be newly built and bought directly from a developer, since resale homes do not qualify on this route. The application can include a spouse and dependent children. Confirm the current qualifying options with the Civil Registry and Migration Department before committing funds.

Timeline

The fast track procedure is commonly reported to take around two to three months once a complete and compliant file is submitted. The permit holder must visit Cyprus at least once every two years to keep the status. Confirm current scheduling with the Civil Registry and Migration Department.

Costs

The figures below reflect amounts published for the fast track route. The property figure is before value added tax, and the income requirement rises with each dependant. Treat these as a starting point and confirm the current amounts with the Civil Registry and Migration Department.

Common questions

Can Lebanese citizens get permanent residence in Cyprus?

Yes. Lebanese nationals are eligible as third country investors and there is no reported nationality bar. Eligibility depends on the qualifying investment, secure income from abroad and passing due diligence.

Does buying a resale home qualify?

No, not on the fast track route under Regulation 6(2). The property must be newly built and bought directly from a developer. Confirm the current rule with the Civil Registry and Migration Department.

Is permanent residence the same as citizenship?

No. Permanent residence lets you live in Cyprus. Citizenship is a separate process with its own conditions. Confirm the current naturalisation rules with the official authority.
