Eligibility for Brazilian nationals

The New Capital Investment Entrant Scheme does not apply to nationals of Afghanistan, Cuba and the Democratic People's Republic of Korea. Brazilian nationals are not excluded and can apply as foreign nationals.

The main applicant must be aged 18 or above, hold a clean immigration record and demonstrate net assets with a market value of at least HKD 30 million throughout the six months before applying. Confirm your eligibility with the authority.

Routes

This is a residence route, not a citizenship route. The applicant places qualifying capital in permissible assets and a separate portfolio, then applies through InvestHK and the Immigration Department. Permanent residence in Hong Kong follows only after a continuous period of ordinary residence under the general rules. Confirm the current structure with the official authority.

Timeline

Processing runs through an asset check by InvestHK and then an immigration application. Times vary with the verification steps, so confirm current timelines with the official authority.

Costs

The minimum investment is HKD 30 million. Of this, at least HKD 27 million goes into permissible financial assets or non residential real estate, and at least HKD 3 million goes into the scheme investment portfolio that supports innovation and strategic industries.

Budget also for verification, professional and application costs on top of the investment. Treat all figures as indicative and confirm the current schedule with the official authority.
