Eligibility for Bangladeshi nationals

Qatar does not exclude Bangladeshi citizens. The standard route requires long lawful residence in Qatar, generally twenty years if born abroad or ten years if born in Qatar, with limited time spent outside the country.

Applicants also show stable income, good conduct and a clean record. A separate investment route is open to property buyers.

Routes

There are two main paths. The residence based path rewards long term lawful residents who meet the income and conduct tests. The investment path grants a permanent residence card to people who buy approved property at or above the set value and meet a minimum annual presence.

Special discretionary categories also exist under the law, for example for people who provide valued services to the country.

Timeline

Applications are assessed by the Ministry of Interior, which sets the process and any annual caps. Confirm the current timeline before you plan.

Costs

The standard route has no large investment but demands long residence. The investment route turns on a property purchase. The figures below are indicative.
